This lesson was so special, it was the first time for  me  to do an Art Performing lesson.
Everything went as I planned for. The only thing that despite me was some of the students absent. There were only 5 out of  25. Also, one of  the students doesn't want to perform.

Describe
At Al-Dewan  Kg, I had to have a training in KG1 class. I had to teach an art lesson. The lesson was about having the students  perform a Walking Through the jungle song. It should be done a week before it's due.  However, due to the bad weather I couldn’t do that. The students in the last week, get absent. I asked about the students who doesn't want to perform, he  was a special need and he has a social delay.

Analyze

I think that occurred because the parents want their children to be at home while their brothers and sister have started their holiday. As it's known in our school students get absent days before the holiday.  I asked my teacher to tell me the  right thing to do. She told me, to never force a student to do things he doesn't want to do, otherwise he will never learns.


Appraise
It was very important for the students and for me to do the performing art. To clarify the performance, the students were not only dancing and singing, the students were learning and developing many things. Dance and movement, is a way for children to communicate their feelings, through dance, the children develop their fine motor skills. Movement activities help children explore and use their creativity. (Montessoriservices, 2011)

To Sum up, I was very happy of my lesson, because I came up with a solution.  I mixed up the two classes, the total number of the students were 17. I was glad to have these two classes practiced before.

In this lesson, I was trying to teach math and science in one lesson. I was trying to teach Hot and Cold. One of my scientific activities was to 
let the students draw the numbers by the ice. They explored  the experiment, but  the students didn't know what they are studying, it was hard for the teacher and students to know the outcome.

Describe
At Al-Dewan  Kg, I had to have a training in KG1 class. I had to teach Math and Science. The students were confused if they were having math or science. Sometimes I was asking them about the hot and cold, and then I asked about the numbers. I showed them at the beginning a number song and then I showed them a hot and cold pictures. The students were engaged and they were learning something, but they didn't know what the outcome was.

Analyze

I think that occurred because I didn't tell them about the outcome at the beginning, I didn't explain what they are going to learn. Which is very important for the students to be involved and know what they should learn about.


Appraise
The students need to know what they are learning and what the outcome is, that  will help the students to have a life long educational process. Also, that will help me to be a constructivist teacher. A teacher who gives the students an opportunity to develop their critical thinking. (Based on constructivism method)
Transform
In the next lesson, I say the Outcome in a kid way. For example, "Today we will learn about cold and hot things and we will count them". I will try to the activities together and bring things together. For example, I will use a technology that shows ice and sun or cold places and hot places, such as a picture of Australia in winter and dessert. After that, will let them to count for me, how many things they can see over the pictures.

                                       
To Sum up, I was very happy of my lesson, because the students were very engaged. The students loved the ice experiments. I really like having a  science and math together. My language gets better and The students' behavior has improved.

Literacy is the most difficult lesson to me. I had a student in my focus group; he didn't know the difference between D and P. I couldn't know how to explain  him that D is different than P. I was trying to explain it to him by saying Ahmed this letter is different than that letter. He wasn't looking at me.

At Al-Dewan  Kg, I had to have a training in KG1 class. I had to teach literacy, which I have never planned for literacy lesson but this time.It was difficult to describe the lower case for D and P. Ahmed insisted that those letters are the same. I asked him to look again and again, but honestly, I didn't know how to describe it.Eventually, I told him look at the circle! Where is the circle of the letter here.  However, deep inside I felt bad, I knew this wasn't enough to let the child know the differences.

Analyze

I think that occurred because the activity showed lots of letters and written at cubes, and the cubes were easy to swap. I think if the letters were written in steady places, such as papers or boards, or even with an arrow to show where do the letters end  and start.  


Appraise
Children see things in their view,when I asked Ahmed why do you think it is the same, he said because it is the same. I asked him for the third time, and he said they look the same. As a teacher, I should show him the difference not to tell him that he was wrong. As a teacher, I should support his thinking and see where his level is and build on it. However, it is a good thing to have him very confident and I showed keep up his confidence. According to Piaget, students see things from their views and they believe in them. According to Malaguzzi, children are different and there are hundred languages of children.

For the next lesson, I will practice with them the letters and let them form it, I will let Ahmed to explore these letters, by giving him the letters in capital and small and provide him with hands-on activities such as writing on a shaving cream.

However, Mohammed is getting better. I was using with him that strategy and it is really working. He was exploring the well behave and trying to be a good leader and a teacher.

To Sum up, I was very happy of my lesson, because the students were very engaged. The technology issues didn't stop me from running my lesson. I'm happy because one of my aims  came true. Which was to be confident.

After snack time, students seem difficult. Mohammed is a student who is hard to control.  He was walking around when I tried to get his attention. He  is such a good student because he could do what you expect him to do. However, sometimes he won't cooperate with you. He will ignore you and do whatever he wants. He never mind if the teacher put him in the  naughty chair.  I think that because he gets used to.

Describe
At Al-Dewan  Kg, I had to have a training in KG1 class. I had to teach this class for an hour. After break time, the students were very active and hard to control. At the opening, I showed them a video about shapes, and Mohammed was moving around, and he disperses everybody. I had to stop the movie and ask him to set down.

Analyze

I think that occurred because Mohammed wants to move and he had an extra energy. I understand his issues after snack time. I think that's happened because he wants to move and talk, and I planned for a video, for visual learners. I tried to get his attention by calling his name and asking him questions, it works for a while but again I lost his attention.


Appraise
Having a lesson after a break time is not an excuse for  bad lessons.  The students should get involved in the lesson, be interested and engaged. Using positive ways to control the student works for a long time. According to Dewey,  "children do what they are interested about, and the teacher should observe them to see their interest". (Gaido, 1960)
Transform
For the next lesson,  I will  take Mohammed and let him be the leader, I will let him sit next to me and observe  the students' behavior. From that, he will understand how to act well.  Also, I will let him tell me what he likes to do and I will try to see what he is interested in, to plan for an interesting lesson for the most students. Hopefully, he will act well at the next time.

My last teaching practice was great, I had a lot of experience, a real job experience because I had an issue and I learned from it. The time management was one of them. The activities are lot, and to prepare them I got lot of time.




Describe
My teaching practice was in AlTwaya Kindergarten. I had a time management issue. Running out of time is an issue that could face any teacher. It was nine am, the teacher, HOF and my Collage mentor came in to grade me, I wasn't ok and because I had lots to do and the students were hard to manage, the activities are needed be prepared for a long time combined  with the students' time to do the activity.   .



Analyze
I think that occurred because the learners didn't used to be taught by me. I was depressed and I had a low self-esteem. I thought that I need to catch up everything in the lesson plan and follow the exact steps. I complained the what I remember of the lesson to time management. So, I absolutely chose to remember the lesson.



Appraise
I felt bad about what happened, that's because it was all about me as a teacher, I had a long time of talking and they got less time of speaking. To have a good lesson it is needed to be the child involvement. For example, let the child to do the activity in their own way or to plan for a simple activity.

Transform
Why would I choose to be filled, when success is an option. I decided for the next time, to have an Al Arm and use it as a reminder to remind me about the time and to teach the student the timing.

I hate to say good bye. I really enjoyed practicing at the colorful school. I will miss my girls. I have learned from this experience a lot. I have been watching the girls and they have different stories. There is a shy girl and there are a talkative, creative, and never talking girl. However, they all very attractive. Hope to meet them soon as I can.
